Advanced products

Advanced biofuels have the advantage of being fully sustainable as they are made from oil by-products. The European Union provides the framework for action to incentivise the use of second-generation biofuels under the Renewable Energy Directive RED II. This Directive, in addition to overall targets for renewable energy in the EU economy, includes specific targets for the use of renewable energy in the transport sector.
